Our Team

Gustavo Carvajal y Alberto Lariosas founding partners of El Puente, are Mexican entrepreneurs and lawyers who split their habitual residence between Spain, the United States, and Mexico.

The first 25 years of their professional lives coincided with the signing of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) by Mexico, the United States, and Canada, as well as the Bilateral Investment Agreement between Mexico and Spain, and the subsequent opening of Mexico to international trade.

In that context, they developed successful careers in the legal field, serving many of the most important international companies with operations in Mexico, as well as Mexican companies that have continued to benefit from Alberto and Gustavo's services for many years include Iberdrola, Hilton, Airbnb, Sherwin Williams, Exxon, Mota Engil, Century 21, Glencore, Mitsubishi, Grupo México, and many more.

In 2021, Gustavo Carvajal and Alberto Larios founded El Puente, based in Madrid, to address the growing need for the individuals and companies to receive soft landing services that encompass, but go beyond, legal services. This is especially true within the framework of a clear and increasingly significant commercial exchange and migration of Mexican investments and people between Mexico and Spain, and vice versa.
